Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 315-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.


The Receiving Coordinator handles all facets related to the delivery of supplies and equipment to customers. This positon ensures product is received in proper unit of measure and is free of damage, and works closely with purchasing staff to resolve any discrepancies.


  • Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health’s mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County.   Models Eskenazi Health values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development and Excellence
  • Handle all facets relating to the delivery of supplies and equipment to customers
  • Maintain required documentation
  • Operate equipment and trucks as needed to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Perform daily receiving of inbound supplies or equipment. Complete all necessary data entry and maintain all necessary paperwork
  • Ensure product is received in proper unit of measure and is free of damage, and works closely with purchasing staff to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process outbound shipments and maintains proper paperwork.
  • Maintain work area, equipment and in inventory in clean, organized and operating condition.
  • Maintain a system for segregating, staging and delivery of non-stock and non-JIT receipts.
  • Pick up, store and maintain inventory for obsolete equipment and supplies and processes out shipments.
  • Work with Accounts Payable in reconciling questions relative to receipt of goods.
  • Assist as appropriate and as time and resources permit in equipment shipments received


  • Basic knowledge and use of a computerized Materials Management Information System.
  • Must meet all requirements of Occupational Health to operate hospital vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • Require appropriate equipment handling certifications.
