Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 315-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Technologist I performs pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic clinical laboratory testing to assist other healthcare providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients as well as in disease monitoring and prevention. Technologists may work in one or more areas of the laboratory to include Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Serology and Blood Bank.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED THROUGH:

  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology.  Degrees must be from an accredited U.S. college or university or foreign degrees must be officially assessed to determine U.S. equivalency.
  • ASCP or equivalent certification (or eligible) preferred.
  • Computer skills.
