Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 315-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Assistant provides patient care, measures and records vital signs, heights, weights and other parameters, interviews patients, calls prescriptions, prepares patients for exams, assists providers, collects and processes labs and performs point-of-care testing. The Medical Assistant also prepares and administers medications, changes/applies dressings and performs other minor procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Graduation from an accredited education program for the medical assistant

-Current BLS certification

-Current TB education preferred
