The Finish Specialist/Painter plasters and constructs new walls and ceilings.


  • Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health’s mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County.   Models Eskenazi values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development and Excellence
  • Plasters and constructs new walls and ceilings
  • Lathes, plasters and patches existing walls and ceilings
  • Tapes, spackles and finishes drywall
  • Cleans and maintains equipment
  • Prepares surface for primer or undercoat sealer, by brushing, sanding, chipping and scraping
  • Repairs cracks and holes in surfaces by filling and wet sanding smooth and remove dirt


  • Performs other job related duties as assigned


  • Completion of high school or equivalent (GED), plus completion of a three year approved painter or plasterer apprenticeship program or five years of related work experience as a painter or plasterer may be accepted in lieu of educational requirements
