Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 315-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

JOB SUMMARY:   Using a patient-nurse relationship, the Endoscopy Nurse Navigator facilitates seamless Endoscopy care for patients throughout Eskenazi Health. The Nurse Navigator utilizes both internal and external resources to decrease barriers that impact the ability of the patient to achieve timely and efficient, high-quality care. The Endoscopy Nurse Navigator’s focus is to ensure that all patients receive one-on-one contact and support. The Nurse Navigator effectively performs all nursing functions in an efficient manner in accordance with Eskenazi Health’s policies and procedures, the Indiana Nursing Practice Act and the Eskenazi Synergy Model of Care. Synergy characteristics demonstrated through this role include: caring practice, clinical judgment, advocacy, collaboration, systems thinking, response to diversity, clinical inquiry and facilitator of learning.  JOB REQUIREMENTS:   •         Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred; current Indiana license as a RN with a BSN required •         Five years of clinical nursing experience as an RN; two years of endoscopy nursing experience •         Successfully meets criteria for Staff Nurse II •         Certification in BLS and ACLS •         Gastroenterology Nursing Certification (GCRN) preferred or must obtain within two years of hire date
