Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The MCMHC Manager manages and coordinates day-to-day activities of site teams. This position works with the team in setting goals, and makes recommendations regarding additions to program and/or reallocation of staffing resources. This position also establishes quality/outcome indicators for programs and regularly assesses progress, reporting outcomes to the Leadership Team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Proactively contributes to Eskenazi's mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County. Models Eskenazi values
  • Manages and coordinates day to day activities of site teams
  • Oversees staff from multiple disciplines
  • Endorses and models a strengths based, community centered model of care
  • Provides administrative/clinical supervision to program staff
  • Works with the team in setting goals, and makes recommendations regarding additions to program and/or reallocation of staffing resources
  • Leads consumer satisfaction and performance improvement initiatives
  • Establishes quality/outcome indicators for programs and regularly assesses progress, reporting outcomes to the Leadership Team
  • Establishes, monitors and manages the budget for area of responsibility
  • Supplies financial reporting data to finance staff in a timely manner (forecasts, variance reports etc.)
  • Ensures that client care follows established best practices
  • Continually assesses efficiency of programs and makes needed adjustments to assure maximum productivity and profit
  • Evaluates staff and supports staff development initiatives
  • Makes recommendations and participates in the process of hiring, transfers, personnel actions and terminations
  • Monitors all facilities and programs associated with the manager, assuring that their operation meets all regulatory requirements

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or health administration
  • Five years of clinical experience in a mental health setting
  • A minimum of two years of management/supervision experience
If working in the Kathi and Bob Postlethwait Mental Health Recovery Center and Triage Unit the following is required:
  • BSN
  • Master's Degree preferred in psychiatric mental health nursing or be qualified by education and experience in the care of the mentally ill.
  • Must demonstrate competence to participate in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans to give skill nursing care and therapy, and to direct, monitor, and evaluate the nursing care furnished

  • All individuals working for the Opioid Treatment Program must have experience and training to safely manage therapeutic services to patients and to provide therapeutic services to patients receiving Opioid treatment medication.
