Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.
JOB SUMMARY:
Eskenazi Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care which takes into account patient response to care provided, patient needs, problems, capabilities, limitations, and progress toward goals. We are seeking individuals who maintain a safe patient/clinic environment, and who demonstrate good communication skills and use appropriate medical terminology. A strong Medical assistant will integrates cultural/population specific diversity needs into patient care as well as integrating physiological, psychological and cultural needs, and will alter activities/behaviors to ensure adequate care appropriate to the age of patients served (i.e., pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric). Medical assistants are located in 3 different Federally Qualified Health Centers on the east side of Indianapolis, including:
Forest Manor
Located at 3840 North Sherman Drive, the Forest Manor location provides Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Primary Care services. Other service offerings include Dietitian Services, Diabetes Education, Healthy Me, OB/GYN, and Optometry/Optical.
North Arlington
Located at 2505 North Arlington Avenue, North Arlington provides Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Primary Care services. Other services offered are Dietitian Services, Diabetes Education, Healthy Me, Mental Health, OB/GYN, Podiatry, and Optometry/Optical.
Grassy Creek
Located at 9443 East 38th Street, Grassy Creek offers Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Primary Care services. Other service offerings include Dental, Dietitian Services, Diabetes Education, Healthy Me, Mental Health, and OB/GYN.
