Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The Managed Care Reimbursement Decision Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the Managed Care Contracting departments by using decision support tools to assist in contract negotiations, reimbursement auditing and benchmarking revenue opportunities. Function includes supporting the financial evaluation of existing managed care contract and delivery system performance as well as potential future managed care opportunities. Expected to maintain a high level of understanding and demonstrate extensive knowledge in healthcare finance reimbursement methodologies, financial analysis & modeling and auditing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

•    Conducts financial assessments and outcomes of proposals submitted during managed care contract negotations.
•    Collaborates with analysis efforts in the creation of strategic, tactical, and long range business plans.
•    Ensures ongoing modification, maintenance and support of standard reimbursement audting.
•    Utilizes database tools and applications to provide support and maintenance of managed care reimbursement reports.
•    Supports and collaborates with Delivery System Administrator in analyzing performance of delivery system(s).
•    Prepares various reports and analysis as requested by senior management.
•    Performs complex financial evaluations of new managed care products and programs including assessment of volume, reimbursement and ROI.
•    Performs in depth analysis on the current state of managed care contract reimbursement and how it compares to prior year performance.
•    Prepares monthly and/or quarterly statistical and financial analysis and reporting packages related to managed care contract performance.
•    Communicates with department leads on any reimbursement and statistical issues or concerns.
•    Recommends changes/enhancements to reporting packages, statistical counting, or any other financial and statistical initiatives. 

Job Requirements

•    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Management or related field required
•    Minimum of three years of managed healthcare reimbursement required
•    Previous experience in decision support, analytics, and creating, analyzing and interpreting financial reports preferred
