  • Ensures that the accuracy and completion of all human resource information is routed to Eskenazi Health Human Resources department in order to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. 
  • Acts as a liaison between Eskenazi Health Human Resources and IEMS members to assist employees regarding benefit enrollments, plan provisions and claim issues in addition to status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Monitors data into HRIS system ensuring the accuracy of information.
    1. New hires, status changes and termination paperwork
    2. Updates any change information into the NinthBrain database
  • Manages all recruitment and hiring activity (both internal and external)
  • Communicates/corresponds with prospective applicants seeking information regarding employment opportunities and is responsible for thorough follow-up on each inquiry
  • Assists with maintaining listing of current licenses/certifications as required by regulatory bodies by checking them online with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security / Fire and Building Safety Division and doing background checks on each newly hired employee.
  • Manages orientation and onboarding process for IEMS
  • Processes all annual promotions and merit increases for IEMS.
  • Prepares for and assists benefit enrollment for new employees and newly benefited employees
    1. Distributes benefit enrollment materials to new hires and newly benefited employees
    2. Collects and forwards all benefit enrollment documents to Eskenazi Health Benefits Coordinator
  • Runs reports from employee database as requested
  • Administers employee recognition including IEMS Employee Appreciation Week, service awards, retirements, retention, engagement and exit interview programs
  • Proactively recommends ideas for process improvement and prudent use of resources
  • Develops and maintains trusting relationships with staff and management 
  • Reports sensitive and/or high profile issues timely to IEMS management
  • Participates in and attends meetings at various locations





  • Performs other job related duties as assigned




  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or other related field with at least two years experience required; PHR preferred





  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task.  Ability to plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans
  • Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information, remain open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong administrative and data management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve, i.e., identifies problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Ability to gain competency with HRIS SAP, Kronos, On-Base and other software systems
  • Ability to work with clinical, professional, technical and administrative personnel
  • Proven effective presentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and in a timely manner




  • Maintains patient and family confidentiality
  • Maintains protected health information in accordance with HIPAA privacy guidelines and regulations
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee records, and other restricted and confidential information
  • Responsible for accurately entering large volumes of data into HRIS
