Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.



Job Role Summary

This position reports to the Compensation/HRIS Manager and is responsible for updating and maintaining employee data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS); ensures data integrity; participates in functional testing for special projects; provides reports and general information requiring a thorough understanding of the organizational structure and policies and procedures.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Supports day-to-day activities and projects for the HRIS system and administration.
  • Works with other departments as needed to provide requested HR data including Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, and Performance Management.
  • Processes new hires, position changes, pay changes, and termination workflows in HRIS system.
  • Assist with data management and file maintenance to include day to day data entry and employee data maintenance in the HRIS system
  • Works with IT to assist with integration accuracy; assists with test cases for IT Integration configurations.  Reviews and tests new HRIS system upgrades, enhancements, and features. 
  • Participate in the development, analysis and delivery of dashboards, metrics and other tools to advance workforce analytics.
  • Ensure data integrity within the HRIS system and generate standard and ad-hoc reports
  • Assists with problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices
  • Supports and assists with troubleshooting and resolving HR system questions
  • Prepares routine letters, correspondence and reports independently.  Prepares necessary data and collects material for distribution
  • Serve as a point of contact for team member inquiries and manage HRIS inbox.
  • Review and make recommendations for new solutions, improvements, and/or enhancements to existing HR related processes and procedures
  • Assists with HRIS data audits and cleanup.
  • Works closely with HRIS Consultants on special time-sensitive projects as well as assisting with preparation of operational reports relating to the management of Human Resources, i.e. vacancy, turnover, new hire, separation, diversity, random, etc.


Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Finance, Business or a Computer related field required.

  • Three (3) years of experience working directly with HRIS systems and performance management experience strongly preferred  
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills required, specifically Excel
  • Experience managing multiple projects and tasks a must
