Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 315-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.


The Clinical Neuropsychologist, together with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, evaluates and treats brain dysfunction, disorders, damage, or disease.  The incumbent provides a full range of psychological services within his/her area of assignment with a primary focus on conducting neuropsychological evaluations and psychological assessment among older adult patients in an outpatient setting.  Other duties may include but are not limited to: psychotherapy, consultation, research, training and education.


  • Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain comprehensive medical, psychological, and social histories.
  • Administers a comprehensive range psychological and neuropsychological evaluations and tailors these evaluations based on the patient’s needs.
  • Formulates an integrated diagnostic assessment.
  • Formulates patient treatment plans in response to an integrated diagnostic assessment
  • Reviews and authorizes (HSPP only) treatment plans of others
  • Prepares detailed clinical neuropsychological reports using data from psychological or neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct observations, or interviews.
  • Provides psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, or other counseling interventions to patients and their families.
  • Compares patients' progress before and after pharmacologic, surgical, or behavioral interventions.
  • Clinically supervises neuropsychological testing staff and offers staff development in a variety of areas.
  • Participates in educational programs, professional organizations, in-service training, or workshops to remain current in methods and techniques.


  • Works effectively in a team, utilizing expertise of other disciplines appropriately
  • Assists other providers in educating patients and families regarding results of testing
  • As assigned, supervises trainees
  • Participates in program planning and development
  • Performs other job related duties as directed or as needed


  • Ph.D. or Psy D. in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology
  • Successful completion of an internship in Neuropsychology and/or a post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology is preferred
  • Eligibility for or certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology is preferred.
  • HSPP Clinical Psychologist licensure status in the state of Indiana
