Job Role Summary

The Clinic Manager - IDC assists the Director in planning, directing and overall operations within their areas of responsibility. The position manages the ongoing development, implementation and performance outcomes to improve efficiency of infectious diseases service line. The manager provides the day to day supervision in assigned patient services areas, financial management and facility adequacy of their assigned areas. The position maintains optimal communication and collaboration between practice staff, advanced practice providers, physicians, clinical pharmacists, external customers and appropriate health system staff to ensure service delivery that exceeds the needs and expectations of customer bases towards service excellence.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities

•    Manages the day to day operations of the Infectious Diseases Clinic (IDC)
•    Recruits, hires and coordinates the onboarding /training of IDC staff in collaboration with Director of IDC Services, Chief of Infectious Diseases, and Human Resources
•    Supervises, observes, and evaluates work of assigned personnel; ensures that care/services provided are in accordance with established protocols, procedures and policies. 
•    Approves payroll, tracks attendance points and manages disciplinary action consistent with Eskenazi Health policy.
•    Understands, follows, interprets and applies organization policies and procedures.
•    Manages and monitors clinic resources according to pre-established budgets. This includes maintaining office supplies and ensuring proper maintenance/operation of office equipment.
•    Develops and implements protocols and procedures to ensure the clinic meets organizational and grant goals.
•    Performs monthly rounding and annual employee reviews aimed at supporting employee retention by helping staff to develop and meet both personal and professional goals.  
•    Plans and facilitates monthly staff meetings to facilitate the provision of quality care and operational activities.
•    Identifies gaps in knowledge or practice and works to plan, implement and evaluate educational opportunities for clinic.
•    Develops grant responses and budgets in partnership with Director of IDC Services.
•    Creates, modifies and evaluates statistical information relative to clinic performance.  
•    Plans, directs and participates in Quality Improvement activities to provide continuous evaluation and improvement of services.
•    Participates in meetings and serves on committees, project groups, and task forces as requested and communicates appropriate information to clinic.  
 



Job Requirements

•    Bachelor's degree in public health or business AND 4 years related experience OR Master’s degree in public health or business AND 2 years related experience.  
•    Valid Indiana driver’s license that meets Eskenazi Health’s driving policy standards, and access to reliable automobile transportation for frequent travel
