Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 315-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.


The Catering Coordinator performs the appropriate steps of service associated with a catered meal dependent upon the style of the event (plated, buffet, reception).


  • Delivers excellent customer service at all times and communicates in a professional and courteous manner with guests, hospital staff and coworkers
  • Ability to interpret catering BEOs, gather and set up appropriate equipment for multiple events at one time
  • Performs the appropriate steps of service associated with a catered meal dependent upon the style of the event (plated, buffet, reception)
  • Maintains appropriate sanitation levels in the work area in compliance with the food code (proper labelling, FIFO and hand washing)
  • Completes side work at the beginning and end of shift as assigned including but not limited to cleaning duties, food prep and stocking
  • Works as a team member to provide the most efficient service to guests
  • Maintains a calm and professional demeanor during periods of high volume to promote a positive guest experience and stable working environment
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned


  • Provides quality Starbucks beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently by adhering to all Starbucks recipe and presentation standards, while maintaining compliance with Indiana State Department of Health regulations and department policy and procedures
  • Takes dine-in orders, delivers food to the table, presents the guest with meal check and pre-buses tables
  • Proficiency in the Micros POS system to ring up orders and cash out guests
  • Relieves other food service personnel for smooth operation of department as assigned
  • Attends in-services and completes E-Learnings as assigned
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in hospitality or other related field
